Air conditioning design and ecological sustainability are self-evident requirements of contemporary architecture.
Together with the firm IMMOSOLAR, a concept was developed for 2 individual villas on the island of Mallorca for the maximum usage of solar energy for the buildings’ heating systems, and for the economical and highly efficient operation of heat pumps at minimum cost. The system can be operated remotely using the PC-run IMMOSOLAR control concept.

What advantages do the IMMOSOLAR units have for your customers?
The unit produces a pleasant and consistent warmth and coolness. A room which is heated in the usual manner has a noticeable warm spot while at the same time other areas are significantly cooler. In contrast, all of the rooms in this house have a consistent warmth zone. It is the same with cooling: a fan effect is present in a room with a conventional air conditioning unit whereas there is no draught when cooling with an IMMOSOLAR unit. The air is never dry or close; it is always pleasantly fresh, just like the fresh air you breathe in on the patio early in the morning.Why did you choose IMMOSOLAR?
We wanted to achieve the feeling of a consistent temperature and air conditioning. This effect may be invisible but it can be felt all of the time. Another deciding factor was that this air conditioning is achieved in an environmentally friendly manner. Besides the long-term care for the environment, the IMMOSOLAR system also has the advantage of saving enough on energy costs to redeem itself in the medium term.
Your wishes were taken in to consideration prior to the collaboration of the architects and the IMMOSOLAR planners. Is this a deciding factor for you?
The necessary combination of different disciplines within this complex context made the early coordination crucial in order to implement all of the building owner’s wishes.
Your building project showed a reduction in CO2 emissions of roughly 75% in comparison to a similar conventional system. Does it pay to focus on an environmentally friendly solution?
Absolutely! Air conditioning design and ecological house technology/-maintenance contribute considerably to the intrinsic value of a property. We need environmentally friendly solutions in order to remain in the competition on the property market for any length of time.

It was a dream … a vision … fascinating how far we have come technically.
The patented IS EnergyController has created solar yields of up to 20% more than that of normal solutions. Does this confirm that it pays to invest in the most modern of technologies?
Yes, that was also one of the reasons. This system is the best way for us to produce a quick amortisation as well as allowing us to create very beneficial energy supplies for several generations. This system is the most modern but has also been tested and has proven itself.
Your system is permanently being monitored by the remote monitor. Does permanent security play an important role for you?
The possibility of remote monitoring takes the mobile lifestyles of our clients in to consideration. For example, the system can be adjusted and controlled remotely in the absence of the building owner.
Why was the invisible integration of the solar unit so important for you?
The integration of the building in its’ surroundings was an important design guideline. This also forms a part of our complete concept, where environment and technology complement each other perfectly.
Heat pumps are often regarded as annoying noise sources. How do you find the IMMOSOLAR heat pumps which have an adapted sonic frequency?
You can hardly hear them.
