Rural hotel, Pre-Pyrenees Aragon, Spain

Short project's description:
Old building renovated for use as a rural hotel at the foot of the Pyrenees which has a system of solar thermal collectors to meet DHW needs and provide central heating backup. Energy is managed using a hydraulic regulation unit, designed and patented by IS, which allows us to route the captured energy to 3 points of consumption, in this case DHW, central heating and DHW pre-heating. This system allows us to extract the maximum benefit from the solar installation, as we can charge the points of consumption simultaneously. Further information: Reference-sheet

Fish farm, Aballe, Spain

Short project's description:
Industrial premises including offices, relaxation area and pools that are temperature-controlled via solar thermal energy (16 IS PRO 2H collectors) for breeding small fish. The solar thermal system is used to maintain a suitable water temperature and increasing the breeding season before hibernation, which improves fish production. Auditorium, Palma de Maiorca, Spain

Short project's description:
What is special about this installation is its architectural integration, for which a substructure was created which was combined with the exterior of the building where the modules were subsequently positioned. With this system of architectural integration, all the modules have been aligned in such a way that no shade is created and they are practically invisible from outside. This solution with a substructure below the walls of the roof was chosen in order that the roof could still be walked on and to prevent any solar modules shading other modules. This also maximises the required area for collecting solar energy. Further information: Reference-sheet
